Help guide for FORUM

Updated: Jan 29, 2024

What is this section for

The Forum page is a space where members can exchange experiences and information about financial education in a more formal and structured way than in 'Groups'.

The forums can be dedicated to specific topics like pensions, loans, credit scores, savings, planning, etc. Members can share their opinions, ask questions, receive guidance and learn from other members of the community. It can also be used to share relevant news and updates.

The initial forum groups have been created to match the categories within the RADAR assessment. This helps those members who have completed the assessment to use their results straight away and ask questions in the most important category to them,

Discover engaging discussions on our Forums

Access our forums by simply clicking on the 'Forum' tab located in the top bar Menu.

The user-friendly layout presents existing forums for easy navigation. On this page, you also have the option to 'create a new post'. If you are certain that your question, idea or unique perspective has not been addressed in a similar post, you can directly, create a new post by clicking the button on the right.

When creating a post from the main page, you will be prompted to choose the relevant forum category for your post. Once selected, simply type your post and click 'publish' to share it with other members.

Explore individual forum categories to browse through a list of posts shared by our community members. Within each category, you will find various options to engage with the content: view the number of comments, follow posts, mark posts as read or unread, follow the forum category itself, share posts on other platforms, report any posts that violate our guidelines, or create a new post within the same forum category.

Clicking on a specific post allows you to delve into the complete content, read comments, react to both the post and comments, reply to individual comments, and contribute your insights.

To access additional post-related options, simply click on the three-dot icon displayed in the picture. Should you come across any posts or comments that do not align with our community rules, please report them using the 'Report Post' or 'Report'(comment) option.

Love how this has been started - not sure when I would use groups or forums though. I'm still slightly confused.

My mistake - this is all fully explained within the induction course. If you complete that course it will give you all the information on how to use each section of the community.
